Johnson Homes Tenant Advocacy Initiative
We believe every community deserves to be heard. Morris Brown AME Church is working alongside residents of Johnson Homes and the Brewerytown Sharswood Neighborhood Coalition to support tenant organizing, promote transparent communication, and advocate for housing justice. Following a community listening and strategy meeting on July 25, 2026, residents are coming together to identify priorities, seek answers about the future of their homes, and ensure their voices are central to every decision that affects their community. We remain committed to standing with our neighbors as they organize, advocate, and work toward a just outcome.

We Make Philly Campaign
Change doesn't happen because those in power decide it's time—it happens when people come together and organize. Morris Brown AME Church is excited to join POWER Interfaith's We Make Philly campaign, a growing movement of people of faith committed to building a Philadelphia where every neighborhood can flourish. Together, we're reminding our city that real power belongs to the people.
